Innovation in Corporate Jets
Bigger Jets, Longer Flights, Sustainable Fuel
World's Biggest, Business Jet Air Show
The world's largest business jet air show will start tomorrow, Tuesday, in Las Vegas. And, there are definitive, emerging innovation trends in the corporate jet global market. Companies want larger jets, that can fly longer distances while using sustainable, greener aviation fuels. For the longer duration flights, amenities like showers and beds need to be onboard. Corporations want new, highly advanced, private business jets that can carry their teams from destinations like London to Sydney non-stop, green sustainable and with a few amenities to accommodate long duration travel.
Choppy Air
The annual corporate jet show is put on by the National Business Aviation Association. It's the world's biggest and is the top place to showcase new, corporate jets made by the biggest jet makers. The aircraft manufacturers are facing choppy air, including trade tensions from Brexit, the US & China that could cut demand. Nonetheless, General Dynamics, Textron's Cessna, Bombardier and several other manufacturers have seen growth in 2019. During the 1st half of the year, their order backlogs are up 7%, something they haven't seen for awhile.
What to Watch For
Buyers are looking for longer range corporate jets that can travel long distance business routes like New York City to Tokyo non-stop. Experts are keeping an eye at the show for a possible announcement from Gulfstream on a highly advanced business jet.
