Spectacular AI Generated Design for the Apple Car                                                            Source:  John Mauriello Design Apple Sports Car With Aerodynamic Style and Elegance A brand new, artificial intelligence designed Apple concept car from independent creators is a work of automotive art.  Some automotive experts say this design, with its aerodynamic lines and smooth styling, could give Tesla EVs a run for their money.  The design was created by the AI artist studio Dall-E2 using artificial intelligence, at the request of San Francisco based industrial designer John Mauriello who utilizes new technologies as the basis of his creations.  The results are spectacular and deliver what you might expect an Apple car would look like.  Specific Parameters Mauriello specificall...

World First: Mayflower Autonomous Ship's Transatlantic Crossing                                             Source:  IBM & ProMare UK to Nova Scotia With No Humans Onboard In an historic world first, the new Mayflower Autonomous Ship (MAS) this summer crossed the Atlantic Ocean from Plymouth, UK to Halifax, Nova Scotia captained solely by artificial intelligence.  The journey marks the world's first, fully autonomous transatlantic voyage.  This is a technological marvel by a robotic autonomous vessel 400 years after the Pilgrims set sail for America and established the Plymouth Colony. The planned destination was Plymouth, MA but the MAS encountered a defective generator starter charging circuit and anchored safety in Halifax for repairs, after completing a 3,500-mile, 40-day journey across the Atlantic Ocean.  Its final destinati...

MIT's New AI System Mirai Transforming Mammograms             Source: Stock AI, Mammograms & MIT's Regina Barzilay From a Cancer Diagnosis to a Potentially Breakthrough, New AI  This is the story of an MIT artificial intelligence expert who turned her personal challenge with breast cancer into a new AI system that can predict the dreaded disease up to 5 years before it occurs.  Forecasting the disease so far in advance enables possible early intervention, treatment and prevention.  The new AI could benefit millions of people.  About 8 years ago, MIT's Regina Barzilay endured the brutal side effects of chemotherapy, radiation and 2 lumpectomies to overcome her cancer. When she returned to work at MIT, she decided to use her AI expertise to battle breast cancer and save lives. Brand New AI System Barzilay has designed and developed an AI system called Mirai that predicts breast cancer up to five years before there is any sign...

Cerence Co-Pilot                                                                      Source:  Cerence A Digital Assistant for Your Driving Needs Artificial intelligence (AI) is having an accelerating impact on cars for greater safety, smarter tech and self-driving, autonomous systems.  Now, a new AI system has been developed that serves as a high-end driver's assistant for you in your car.  Cerence Co-Pilot is being headlined as a "digital butler for your car".  It will debut at the upcoming CES 2022 show in Las Vegas.  The new Cerence Co-pilot appears to have the potential to redefine the relationship between driver and car.  It is a deeply integrated, intelligent new automotive mobility technology enabled by artificial intelligence. Turning Brain Activity to Text Source:  Stock image of brain 97% Accuracy Rate Researchers at the University of California San Francisco have created a new artificial intelligence system that literally reads the mind with 97% accuracy.  The AI translates brain activity into complete sentences.  This is a huge breakthrough in innovation.  Nothing has come close to this AI system.  Previous systems attempting to "read your mind" were only 70% intelligible.   Machine Translation The researchers developed their system by mimicking machine translation.  They realized there are strong parallels between translating brain signals to text and machine translations between languages using neural networks. Machine translation does an entire sentence at once.  They designed their  new  AI system to convert brain activity into full sentences.  In fact, it can translate from human brain waves 30 to 50 sentences that u...

Rapid Retail Change Source: Stock Image of  Fast Food Artificial Intelligence at the Point of Sale Artificial intelligence and machine learning are rapidly changing many industries, including retail, hospitality and especially restaurants.  Experts forecast that these industries will undergo tremendous innovation in their business models in the next few years. Encounter AI's Mai An example of the new technology being introduced is Encounter AI's Mai, which is considered the world's most advanced voice ordering assistant for retailers and restaurants.  It also provides accessibility for the blind. Instant Orders and Answers to Questions Mai is a vocal commerce solution that compiles customer orders instantly in a drive-through.  For restaurants, it takes customer orders and answers all of their questions.  The tone of the voice ordering assistant is customized to the restaurant brand and "personality". AI to the Rescue Beelife's CoCoon CoCoon For decades bee populations have been under assault by pesticides, pests and excessive hot and cold weather.  Their numbers have dramatically decreased.  But they are now starting to make a comeback thanks to new technologies.  An example is Beelife's CoCoon which is included among the top seven innovations at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). AI and Solar Powered The CoCoon uses an artificial intelligence embedded system that heats and cools the hive based on conditions.  The purpose is to keep the bees in optimal health.  The AI system alerts the beekeepers and allow them to raise or lower the temperature by a mobile device.  CoCoon is entirely self-contained and is powered by a solar panel on top.
