 X2 Flying Taxi Successfully Flies for 90 Minutes in Dubai                                        Source:  Dubai & XPeng Dubai as an Innovation Capital In Dubai, Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng just made history by successfully completing the 1st public test flight of its eVTOL flying taxi X2.  X2 is a 2-seat air taxi that is fully electric and vertically takes-off and lands like a helicopter.  The intelligent, flying mobility system was cleared by Dubai authorities for flying and flew for 90 minutes at a public event called Skydive Dubai.  XPeng executives call the X2 "3D transportation" in which everyone can fly. It makes its water journey in silence and in harmony with the environment.  It is the innovative creation of Switzerland-based startup The Jet ZeroEmission, which will manufacture the hydrofoil in Dubai. Dubai's Electric Experiment Source:  Dubai  E-Bus on Electrified Road Wireless Charging on the Move Dubai is testing electric buses that can pick up charging while on the move.  The dynamic wireless charging unit is embedded in a 60 meter stretch of roadway in the city.  It uses a new technology called "shaped magnetic field in resonance (SMFR). The result is seamless charging of the electric bus without it having to stop at a charging station.  What's fascinating is the system can be used for personal transportation like an electric car as well as public transportation like electric buses.
