Airbus-Aston Martin to Produce Another Series of Luxury Choppers                                                                      Source:  Aston Martin ACH 130 Aston Martin Helicopters The luxury carmaker favored by 007 secret agent James Bond - Aston Martin - has gone airborne with a sleek and very sophisticated helicopter, the ACH 130.  It just showed up in the US on its way to a buyer in Texas.  Another one has just been purchased by a buyer in South America.  Orders have also come in from Europe, Canada and Southeast Asia.  The ACH 130 is the result of a partnership between global aerospace and aviation leader Airbus' Airbus Corporate Helicopters and the legendary automaker Aston Martin.  It is a flying vehicle worthy of its own James Bond movie....

New SST Concept Hyper Sting                                              Source:  Oscar Vinals New York to London in 80 Minutes An exciting new flying concept, the Hyper Sting, has just been unveiled by famed, Barcelona-based aviation designer Oscar Vinals.  It's a supersonic passenger aircraft that can fly at three times the speed of sound or Mach 3.5.  That speed would enable travel from New York City to London in just 80 minutes.  Designer Vinals says this SST is very feasible, but it will require the development of new, advanced technologies. New Ultra-High-Speed Travel Hybrid                                                       Source:  TransPod Hits Speeds of 662 mph Toronto, Canadian startup TransPod has developed a hybrid train-plane vehicle that can hit speeds of 662 mph.  It's the fully electric powered FluxJet that can travel at speeds six-times that of a train and faster than a jet. The transportation system is based on a new field of physics called "veillance flux".  It is very similar to Elon Musk's original concept of vacuum tube based hyperloop travel, which time-starved Musk told other people to try and develop. Zuri 2.0 Could Be an eVTOL Travel Gamechanger Source:  Zuri Highly Advanced Hybrid Electric Flying Machine Prague, Czech Republic-based, urban air mobility startup Zuri has unveiled a long distance, unmanned eVTOL (electric, vertical takeoff and landing) vehicle. The aircraft has a big range of 435 miles which could make it an industry gamechanger.  To date, most eVTOLs have had very limited range: many in the neighborhood of 50 to 100 miles.  Zuri extended the vehicle's range by using a hybrid electric powertrain.  Zuri 2.0 is designed to carry 4 to 5 passengers for regional travel.  The company has also unveiled a cargo version of the eVTOL.  Both versions fly by autopilot.  All phases of the flight are unmanned.
