German Automotive Designer's Take on Next-G Roadster with Rockets                                         Source:  Maximilian Schneider This Roadster is Cool in Every Way Tesla CEO Elon Musk first unveiled his 2nd-generation Roadster concept in 2017.  He was supposed to launch it in 2020 and then punted the launch date back to 2023.  Rather than wait any longer, a very talented German automotive designer, Maximilian Schneider who has worked for Audi, Mercedes and VW, created his highly original and innovative design of what the potential is for the next G Roadster. Schneider took Elon Musk's concept to put rocket boosters on the car and Schneider made them aa main feature.  It's called the Tesla SpaceX Model R.  It's a hypercar that has tremendous technologies in it and is quite a beauty. Radical Car Design and Performance Schneider's design is so radical, futuristic and advanced it doesn't look like a Roadster. It's an all-electric, 4-wheel drive sports car

Brand New Way to Fly in an Innovative Aircraft                                                  Source:  SkyFly 2-Seat Personal Electric Aircraft You Can Assemble  London-based aviation company SkyFly has invented a 2-seat personal aircraft that is an electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing vehicle, or eVTOL. Called Axe, it can also do conventional, short distance takeoffs and landings.  The company just announced that it can be pre-ordered for delivery in 2024 and you can go with a kit to assemble it yourself.  Axe is impressive.  It has a winged airframe, a range of 100 to 200 miles and top cruising speeds of 100 mph.  Imagine soaring above traffic jams at that speed!  The electric aircraft is quiet and so compact it can be stored in your driveway. New, Unique Technologies Unlike the flying cars Jetson One and Ryse Recon, Axe is not a multicopter.  It's an innovative, two fixed-wings aircraft.  The wings are unusual in that they are pitched upwards.  This is very different from a c

The Earth Bio Genome Project                                                  Source:  Stock Images More Than 5,000 Scientists and 1.8 Million Species Scientists from around the world are rushing to protect nearly 2 million species on the planet Earth. They are documenting the genetic makeup of 1.8 million animals, plants, fungi and more, as the United Nations warns that 1 million plants and animals are at risk of extinction within upcoming decades.  The global scientific collaboration is called the Earth Bio Genome Project.  More than 5,000 global scientists are involved.  By the end of this decade, they hope to have digitized the DNA footprints of 1.88 million living species.  It is an incredibly arduous task.  By the end of 2022, they hope to have sequenced just 3,000 species' genomes.   Why Do This?    There are many benefits including saving species, benefitting humanity, protecting biodiversity and understanding ecosystems and sustaining life.  All of the species are intertwi

KIA'S FASTEST CAR - EV6GT

New Powerhouse Kia Electric Hatchback                                                                                          Source:  Kia Debuts at Pebble Beach  Kia just debuted a stunning new electric hatchback at the Monterey/Pebble Beach Car Show. The very hot, electric hatchback, EV6GT, is the fastest consumer car that Kia has created.  The EV is said by automotive experts to be affordable (Kia hasn't revealed the price). The EV6GT is faster and more powerful than some Italian sports cars and the EV6. It can hit 161 mph. In fact, Kia says that in a drag race, it beat a Ferrari Roma and a Lamborghini Huracan Evo.  Tech Specs The electrified performance car can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. It pumps out 576 hp and 546 lb.-ft of torque.  It is Kia's top high performance electric model.  The 430-kW front and rear motor system is powered by a 77.4-kWh battery.  It also has a new Drift Mode that optimizes the motor, steering, brakes, suspension and more for dynamic,

HEXA eVTOL ANYONE CAN FLY

USAF SUCCESSFULLY TEST FLIES HEXA                                                 Source:  LIFT's HEXA Entirely New Type of Aircraft Austin, Texas-based LIFT Aircraft's eVTOL HEXA is an entirely new type of aircraft that the company says anyone can fly.  The electric, vertical takeoff and landing aircraft has been successfully test flown by the US Air Force, with whom LIFT partners.  The Air Force is exploring military application for the personal flying machine. HEXA has been specifically designed as an ultra-lightweight vehicle so that it doesn't require a pilot's license.  It's targeted at sports and recreational use, military, public safety, disaster response and first responder missions.  The company says the eVTOL can cut responder time 50% and more. The vehicle is deep into a series of flight and system testing.  The company expects to be doing thousands of flights per days within the next 3 to 5 years. Tech Specs Technically, HEXA is an eVTOL multicopter, am

AI-CAPTAINED SHIP CROSSES ATLANTIC

World First: Mayflower Autonomous Ship's Transatlantic Crossing                                             Source:  IBM & ProMare UK to Nova Scotia With No Humans Onboard In an historic world first, the new Mayflower Autonomous Ship (MAS) this summer crossed the Atlantic Ocean from Plymouth, UK to Halifax, Nova Scotia captained solely by artificial intelligence.  The journey marks the world's first, fully autonomous transatlantic voyage.  This is a technological marvel by a robotic autonomous vessel 400 years after the Pilgrims set sail for America and established the Plymouth Colony. The planned destination was Plymouth, MA but the MAS encountered a defective generator starter charging circuit and anchored safety in Halifax for repairs, after completing a 3,500-mile, 40-day journey across the Atlantic Ocean.  Its final destination will be Washington, DC. MAS' Technologies The 50-foot-long trimaran crossed the Atlantic with no humans on board.  It is the creation of ma

WORLD'S 1st HYDROGEN PASSENGER TRAINS

Germany is Leading the Hydrogen Travel Way                                                  Source:  Alstom Your Train Commute Has Zero Emissions & Very Low Noise Germany just unveiled the world's first fleet of hydrogen powered passenger trains.  The 14 passenger train cars are powered by hydrogen fuel cells that generate electricity to power the trains with zero emissions.  These trains, by replacing 15 diesel powered trains, will eliminate the use of 442,000 gallons of diesel per year.  The hydrogen trains are now deployed on a regional route in Lower Saxony, Germany.  They are at peace with and friendly to the environment as their travels are low noise and emissions free. The Lower Saxony passenger trains are a world first and are being applauded by environmentalists globally.  The German government is backing hydrogen as a clean alternative to fossil fuels. Hydrogen Rail Technology The trains are made by Alstom, a global leader in rail technology and train manufacturing he

Using plant-based fibers is a growing megatrend in the automotive industry. Building a lightweight e-bike is not an easy task. In fact, it's a major breakthrough because battery packs and electric motors are heavy. For those who have to lug their bikes up and down stairs, a lightweight e-bike is particularly appreciated.  Flax is a unique, plant-based, green, new form of travel that is low on poundage and power use. Breakthrough Technology Hummingbird says that the flax frame is as strong as its heavier a
