Satellites are Vulnerable to Hacking Source: European Space Agency New Report from The Royal Institute of International Affairs UK based Chatham House or The Royal Institute of International Affairs has just released a report warning that there is an urgent need to address the cybersecurity of satellites in space. They are asking NATO and NATO member nations to address the cybersecurity of space-based satellite control system because they are vulnerable to cyberattack, particularly if a network system were breached. International Security There are important ramifications from this cyber vulnerability finding because virtually all military operations rely on space-based data and communications for instant decision making.
