United Airlines To Deploy Flying Taxis

 Big City Commuting to Airports                                             Source:  Archer United & CA Startup Archer Aviation United Airlines is making a strategic move to deploy e-VTOL flying taxis to bring passengers in big cities to its airport terminals.  United has placed a $1 billion order for 200 Archer Aviation electric, vertical takeoff and landing (e-VTOL) flying taxis.  To build up development money, Archer is going public in a reverse merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC).  United is also investing an undisclosed amount in the new entity.  Archer will trade on the NYSE with an initial valuation estimated at $3.8 billion. Citroen's Ami: 100% Electric, Ultra Compact Car Source:  Citroen Very Affordably Priced This is a fun piece of urban electric mobility.  Citroen just introduced Ami, an all electric, sub-compact electric car, in France.  It's not much bigger than an enclosed  scooter.  The two seater may be the electric car for everyone who needs to get around, particularly in crowded urban areas. It is very affordably priced. No License Required The vehicle gets 44 miles on a charge and has a top speed of 28 mph.  The battery takes 3 hours to recharge.  Citroen says that Ami is agile, ultra-compact and protective of the driver and passenger. First International Flight Test & Collaboration with AT&T on Connectivity Announced Source:  Uber Test Flights in Three Global Cities 2020 Uber is on a roll. It just announced a collaboration with AT&T to enhance connectivity on its air taxi and cargo drone vehicles.  And it's selected Australia's second largest city, Melbourne, as the first international test site for its air taxi service.  The test flights will start in 2020 in Melbourne, along with test flights in previously announced Dallas and Los Angeles.  The test flight service will link central city locations with nearby airports.
