President Joe Biden Pledges Aggressive Action on Climate Change                                              Source:  The White House White House Virtual Climate Summit on Earth Day At the White House Virtual Climate Summit, President Joe Biden pledged to cut US greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030.  The pledge will require massive changes and breakthrough renewable energy innovations for the US energy and transportation industries. President Biden says it is absolutely necessary and doable.  Biden made the pledge before more than 40 government leaders from around the world at his virtual, 2 day Leaders Summit on Climate, designed to demonstrate that the US is once again a strong force in the fight against Climate Change.  The previous Administration scoffed at Climate Change, withdrew from the Paris Accords and derailed efforts t...

G20 Cites Climate Change in its Communique for 1st Time in Trump Era Source:  NASA Composite Image of Climate Change CC Watch But No Risk Warning from G20 Financial officials from the world's 20 largest economies cited Climate Change in their final communique for the first time during the Trump Administration. In the communique that was just released, they did not call CC a major risk to the global economy as many leaders and organizations such as the International Monetary Fund believe it is.  The US blocked CC from being listed as a downside risk to the global economy. Instead the G20 said they are "examining the implications of CC" for global financial stability. It is considered by some at the G20 a step forward in the CC discussion. NASA Spots Electric Soccer Balls in Space

Tiny, Carbon Buckyballs that Are the Beginning of Stars and Planets Source:  NASA/JPL - CALTECH Interstellar Presence The Hubble Space Telescope has discovered electrically charged molecules shaped like tiny soccer balls in space.  They say this is highly significant because it sheds light on the mysterious contents of gas and dust that fill interstellar space, the so-called interstellar medium (ISM).  This is the first time that an electrically charged, ionized "buckyball" has been found in the interstellar system. Buckyballs The buckyball molecules are composed of 60 carbon atoms that configure like a soccer ball.  The molecules are a form of carbon called buckminsterfullerene or Buckyballs after the inventor of the geodesic dome, the inventor Buckminster Fuller. NASA scientists say this discovery sheds light on ISM and the beginning of planets. ISM NASA scientists believe that interstellar gas and dust are the starting point of the chemical process ...
