Mystery Radio Signals From Space

Tracked by a Powerful Telescope in Canada                            Source:  CHIME & 1st Radio Signal Burst Intergalactic Mystery International researchers using a high powered, new Canadian telescope named CHIME, have detected hundreds of fast and mysterious radio bursts in space that quickly disappear.  These bright flashes of light last for a millisecond.  The quickness of the signal makes it unpredictable and extremely difficult to track the origin and determine the reason why. As a result, astronomers are baffled and the source remains shrouded in mystery. NASA Finds Mysterious Light                             Source:  NASA New Horizon Spacecraft New Science: Discovery of Light in Space From Outside Our Galaxy This is remarkable astronomy just reported by scientists at NASA.  For decades, scientists have been unable to answer the question:  How dark is space?  Meaning, is there any light in the inky darkness that you see in the night sky between stars and galaxies?  Through painstaking analysis, NASA scientists have discovered there is the mysterious glow of light in deep space coming from outside of our galaxy.   New Horizon Mission The NASA mission, to determine how dark space really is, is called New Horizon.  The New Horizon spacecraft is 4 billion miles from Earth and has provided astronomers with a series of images from its telescopes.  NASA scientists processed out any light from stars and galaxies....

Magnificent Space Images from Global Telescopes                                                   Source:  NASA Cosmic Delight Through Advanced Technology NASA has released a spectacular display of cosmic images from highly advanced telescopes positioned around the world and in space.  This is the universe seen through the prism of the latest technology - gamma rays, radio waves and infrared. Pink Cloud of Baby Stars

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope Discovery Source:  NASA's Hubble A Star is Born The Hubble Space Telescope has just discovered and provided spectacular images of a dazzling pink cloud that is a birthplace in the universe for massive stars.  The cloud is known as LHA 120-n 150.  It's a cloud of dust and gas surrounded by sparkling young stars.  You might call it a "space nursery" for baby stars. Distant Views into Space. The pink cloud is located near the Tarantula Nebula, which is a known hot spot for star formation.  The images that Hubble is now providing to astronomers will help them learn how massive stars are created.  Astronomers' theoretical models indicate that massive stars should form within clusters.  But astronomers are now learning through observation that at least 10% of massive stars form in isolation in space. Robot to Install Telescopes on Moon

NASA Funded Project Source:  Stock image of  Moon Telescopes to Look Deep Into the Universe A NASA funded lab at the University of Colorado is developing robots to deploy small, highly advanced telescopes on the far side of the Moon.  In the next ten years, the NASA team will send a rover aboard a lunar lander spacecraft and place it on the dark, far side of the Moon. Humans & Machines Working Together The plan is to set-up a network of small telescopes.  The deployment will be performed by the rover's robotic arm.  The arm will be controlled by astronauts in an orbiting lunar station called Gateway.  Gateway will serve as transit to and from the Moon and as a refueling station for deep space missions. Space X Will Rocket NASA Telescopes to Detail The Most "Exotic Objects" in Space Source:  NASA IXPE Mission Black Holes, Neutron Stars, Pulsars Space X keeps scoring big contract wins.  It just was awarded its sixth launch contract by NASA.  This latest one is to launch NASA's $50.3 million IXPE mission - the Imaging X-Ray Polarimetry Explorer with three of the most advanced telescopes in the world. IXPE Mission This is a big win for Space X.  It also will prove to be very exciting astronomy.  NASA says this mission will allow astronomers to discover details on some of the "most exotic astronomical objects in our universe".  The IXPE mission will measure polarized X-rays from objects like black holes, neutron stars and pulsars.
