It was designed by researchers at Delft University of Technology and bike manufacturer Koninklijke Gazelle in the Netherlands. They've designed a smart steering system that may reduce the number of accidents when cyclists loose balance and control of their bikes. Smart Motor, Smart Sensor The bike has a sensor that tracks the bike's movements and determines if it's in danger of tipping. If the system determines that a fall is about to happen, the electric motor in the steering tube activates and turns the handlebars to balance the bike and prevent a fall.
