European Union May Vastly Expand Wind Power Capacity                                  Source:  Europe Offshore Wind Farm 2030 and 2050 Green Goals For the European Union, energy produced by wind power generation is now cheaper than that produced by fossil fuels.  As a result, the EU is considering a huge investment in offshore wind power technology and infrastructure. The nearly $Trillion investment is aimed at creating five-times or 60 gigawatts of offshore wind generated energy by 2030.  The current level is 12 gigawatts.  By 2050 the EU is targeting 300 gigawatts.  They are also targeting 60 gigawatts of wave and tidal energy by 2050. Massive Renewable Energy Agenda These renewable energy goals are unprecedented and would require a major change of scale for the energy sectors of the 27 nation European Union.  The cost is estimated at $937 billion.  Th...

GREEN HYDROGEN: ENERGY'S HOLY GRAIL

BP Pilot Project in Australia Source:  Hydrogen Producing Hydrogen From Wind and Solar Power British Petroleum has won approval from the government of Australia to produce hydrogen energy from wind and solar power.  The renewable energy sources of wind and solar power will be used to split water and convert it into hydrogen and ammonia.  Australia is contributing more than $1 million to the $4.4 million BP feasibility study. Australia:  Global Hydrogen Capital Australia has ambitions to be a major producer of hydrogen by 2030.  If the feasibility study yields promising results, BP will build a pilot plant in western Australia to produce 20,000 tons of hydrogen.  Later, it will build a commercial scale facility capable of producting 1 million tons for both domestic and international markets. Renewable Energy's Holy Grail The production of green, renewable hydrogen using wind and solar power drastically cuts carbon emissions.  Energy exp...

Denmark's Island of Wind Energy

Denmark's New Artificial Offshore Island to Harness Wind Energy Source:  Denmark Wind Turbines Stock Image $30 Million Landmark Project of Wind Island Innovation Denmark is planning an unprecedented $30 million offshore wind island to pull in wind energy from offshore wind farms.  The island will be built as an artificial island of green energy innovation. The island will tie-in power from existing offshore wind farms.  This planned facility could have a total capacity of 10 gigawatts.  The price-tag for it is $30 million Wind Energy Suppling Denmark 10 gigawatts of energy would be enough to supply 10 million households in Europe. Denmark's population is 6 million. The catalyst behind this project is Denmark's ambitious green energy plans.  They've established rigorous regulations to meet tough climate change targets.  Their wind island is designed to harness blowing winds, power virtually all households in the nation and take them to a greener...
