Ai-Da -- Robot Artist

Ai-Da's First Solo Art Exhibit Source:  Aiden Meller's Ai-Da Already a Sell-out Ai-Da has been described by her British inventor as the world's most realistic, humanoid robot artist.  On June 12, she'll open her first solo exhibit of 8 drawings, 20 paintings, 4 sculptures and several videos. The inventor is Aiden Meller who also owns an art gallery.  He says that Ai-Da brings a new technological voice to the world of art.  In fact, Ai-Da is a work of technological art. AI, Technology and Art The robot can paint from sight with cameras in her eyes. AI algorithms, created by scientists at the University of Oxford, enable her to paint.  She sketches with pen or pencil and then the sketch is printed onto canvas.  A human artist paints over the sketch.  The show at St. John College next week is already sold out with over a million pounds of artwork sold.  For a free Kindle borrow of my book "List of Top New Robots"  ASIN: B07K4QX385 ...

AI Robot Artist Paints Moonscapes

Robot Created by Hong Kong Artist Source:  Artist Peter Wong and his robot's art at London Exhibit Paints in Traditional Chinese Style The project is called the "Far Side of the Moon."  Artist Victor Wong in Hong Kong has created a robot enabled with artificial intelligence that paints moonscapes in the traditional Chinese painting style.  The robot is called A.I. Gemini.  It took Wong three years to build and program the robot artist, along with teaching it artistic style techniques. Randomness Peter Wong doesn't know what the robot will paint.  Randomness is programmed into its algorithms.  The AI has been fed lunar 3D images from NASA and from China's Chang'e-4 lunar rover that took pictures of the far, dark side of the moon in January.  This is another example of the powerful combination of robotics with artificial intelligence delivering remarkable results, including art from the dark side of the moon.

Can Robots Be Creative? Yes! Source:  Ai-Da's Robotic Arm Sketching a Portrait Meet Ai-Da, the Robot Artist British roboticists have created a robot artist named Ai-Da.  The artistic robot is being empowered to draw people from sight with her AI enabled bionic eyes and then using a pencil in her bionic hand.  The genius behind this is British gallery owner in Oxford Aiden Meller, who is the mastermind. Mesmerizing AI Camera Eyes Ai-Da is a humanoid robot with a lot of technology sizzle.  There are cameras in each of her eyes with artificial intelligence running in the computer vision to draw from sight perfectly.  She can also mimic your expressions. Ai-Da is the creation of Engineered Arts in Cornwall, UK.  Aiden Meller is working with the robotics company and overseeing the final  stages of her construction.  He calls Ai-Da the world's first ultra-realistic robot artist, that he envisions will perform like human artists. ...
