But that may be changing. Two Brazilian brothers have invented a biodegradable planter that can do it on its own. Their device is inspired by nature. The planter maintains and grows seedlings all by itself with no human intervention. It is the top award winner of the 2018 Global Design Challenge. Atlantic Rainforest in Brazil Brothers Pedro and Bruno Rutman grew up near Brazil's Atlantic Forest, which is one of the world's most biodiverse places. Only 7% of the original forest remains.
