Gravity Industries' Jet Pack Targets Ship Hijackers                                        Source:  Gravity Industries Jet Suit New Aviation Technology on the Cutting Edge of Saving Lives Seizing control back of a hijacked ship on the high seas is one of the most difficult challenges for global special forces in the fight against terrorism.  They either try rappelling down a rope from a hovering helicopter or use ladders on small boats at night to climb onboard.  Many times, these strategies loose the element of surprise.  Now from a former Royal Marine, Richard Browning who is the CEO of the UK's Gravity Industries, there is a third solution to taking control back from hijackers of a ship on the high seas.  Browning's Jet Suits have the potential to revolutionize counter-terrorism on land and sea. They have just been demonstrated to work by the Dut...

Jet Packs Going Into Wider Use

Royal British Navy & Jet Pack Assault Teams                                                                 Source:  Gravity Industries UK's Gravity Industries One of the most intriguing forms of new travel and personal air mobility is jetpacks.  A leading player in the field, Gravity Industries of the UK, has successfully developed jetpacks for individual enthusiasts and adventurers.  The company is now working with the British Royal Navy to adapt the jetpacks for military use.  Specifically, to develop new jet pack military assault teams. The US Navy is also working with the UK company to examine the possibilities of using jetpacks for Navy Seals.  Clearly, the utilization of jetpacks is rapidly expanding. Targeted Goals and Expanding into Emergency Services The intent ...

Jetpack Flying Paramedics

Gravity Industries Jetpack Being Tested in the UK                  Source:  Gravity Industries Test Flight for Paramedics Daring Aerial Paramedic Emergency Rescues A jetpack made by Gravity Industries is being tested in the Lake Region of the UK for daring aerial paramedic rescues.  The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS), which is a helicopter emergency medical service, is testing the jetpack to see how sending paramedics in a jetpack to the rescue of victims safely works. New Technology For instance, in a skiing accident on a mountain slope, a jetpack would allow a paramedic rescuer to arrive to the victim in minutes rather than an hour hiking up the slope.  According to the GNAAS Director Andy Mawson, a jetpack rescuer could mean the difference between life and death. Gravity Industries & Its Entrepreneur Gravity Industries of the UK has completed a number of flights in what they call an "iron man" suit and ha...

FLYING WITH JETPACK ON A HOVERBOARD

Image
UK Inventor Does It  Source:  Additive X: SWNW McFly Personal Air Mobility A UK inventor Sam Rogers has taken to the skies on a hoverboard using a $432,000 jet flying suit he helped to design with a 3D printer.  The 24 year old is believed to be the first to fly a real-life hoverboard that was made famous in the 1989 blockbuster movie "Back to the Future" Part 2 that the character Marty McFly, played by Michael J. Fox,  flew.  A Delorean time machine was part of the movie and the real-life scene at a UK airfield. Jet Packing at 50 MPH Rogers is design lead and test pilot for the British aeronautical innovation companies Gravity Industries and Additive X.  The 1000 brake horsepower jet suit weighs 60 pounds.  There are 6 kerosene fueled turbines on the back and arms, each with 50 pounds of thrust.  The flight path is controlled by the human's body movements.  There are some controls in the grip handles. This unusual form of perso...

The Flying Suit - Gravity Jet Suit

Suit with 5 Mini Jet Engines for Flying Source:  Gravity Industries' Jet Suit Dressing for Altitude The Gravity Jet Suit has been cited as one of the best innovation inventions of 2018.  London based Gravity Industries invented and is now developing it. Plenty of Lift The 1,050 horsepower system is powered by 5, mini jet engines.  One engine is built into a backpack.  The other four jet engines are attached to the hands.  The system can achieve speeds of 50 mph.  The ability to fly it takes a lot of learning, practice and experience. Expensive Flights A recent Gravity Jet Suit cost $440,000.  As they are powered by jet engines, the suits are very loud.  But innovator/inventor Richard Browning hopes to raise money from public events like races to drop the price and then convert the Gravity Jet Suit into a cheaper, electric flying suit.  For more news stories on fascinating innovation, go to  amazon.com/author/ekane

Defying Gravity - Advanced Jet Pack

Gravity's Jet Pack Suit Source:  Gravity Industries Are You Ready for the Next Frontier in Human Flight? This is fascinating personal flight innovation.  Gravity Industries has designed an advanced jet pack suit.  It uses 3 microturbines.  The engines are the size of a loaf of bread.  They are attached to each hand and on the back.  The company says the engines are precisely controlled and powered by kerosene. Tested, Works, Patent Pending The suit carries enough fuel for 8 minutes of flight.  The engines generate a stable tripod of thrust totaling 1000 horsepower.  It's been tested and works.  The technology is patent pending.  The price is $440,000.  This Gravity suit has been cited as one of the top 100 innovations of 2018.  The company Gravity was founded in 2017.
