Attachable Caboose that Makes It a 940hp, 6 Wheel Behemoth

The EV Thundertruck is a fascinating, green design concept for off-roading and outdoor fun.  It is a vehicle concept unlike any other.  Thundertruck is an all-electric, 4x4 off-road EV.  Uniquely it has a pull out and foldable solar canopy/awning that can provide protection from the sun while harvesting solar energy for extra charging while in a parked mode.  And there is a snap-on, self-balancing, attachment component - a caboose.  The caboose has a set of two extra wheels and additional battery power that make Thundertruck a 6-wheeler.

Creation of a LA Based Creative Automotive Team

Thundertruck is the very innovative creation of a Los Angeles based creative consultancy known as the Wolfgang LA Team.  The team focused their energies on developing the truck during downtime from the COVID pandemic.  The team says that they can support the rollout of this concept vehicle from the start of R&D to the finish of production including advertising and marketing.  But, you do have to wonder if a big global automaker might take a strategic interest in this EV that appears to have unique capabilities and bring it to the next level of development.

New Design and New Technology

The Thundertruck certainly leaves auto enthusiasts awestruck. The design is an innovative amalgamation of secret mission military vehicles, specialized sports, off-road SUVs and sheer genius originality in automotive creativity.  The technology in it is equally impressive.  A 180 kWh battery pack gives it a 400 mile range.  The EV is designed to go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.  Its dual motor, 4x4 powertrain pump out 800 horsepower and 800-pound feet of torque.

TT Range Extender

This new tech is a big differentiator and it sounds totally unique.  The TT Range Extender consists of an extra set of two wheels, motors and a 30 kWh battery pack that you can attach to the back of the Thundertruck.  That turns the EV into a behemoth.  It becomes a 940 horsepower, 6x6 EV with a 560-mile range.  The caboose uses self-balancing, gyro technology for easy driving and easy snap-ons and snap-offs from the truck.
