Race Car for the Road

Volkswagen's luxury brand Porsche has developed a massively powerful new car with a huge aerodynamic wing on its back. Called the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, it's a race car for the road with the highest level of technology.  The vehicle can hit speeds of 193 mph and goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds, thanks to the athletic strength of its powerful engine and its unique ability to harness the thrust and power of the wind with its aerodynamic wing.

Tech Specs and More

GT3 RS is equipped with a 4.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine that pumps out a hefty 518 hp.  Thanks to the sports car's wing and other aerodynamic features, GT3 RS' downforce numbers are 3-times that of a normal GT3.  At 124 mph, the downforce is more than 900 pounds.  At 177 mph, it is 1,895 pounds.  The downforce helps the driver to better control and enhance grip of the car at high speeds.  To further enhance grip, Porsche has created a Drag Reduction System.  In essence the system calibrates G-forces, suspension compression and the steering angle and then adjusts air pressure across the car to keep it steady at high speeds and on sharp turns.  The process is similar to that of a Formula 1 race car racing in high stakes competition.

When Is It Available?

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of the most powerful cars on the road.  It goes on sale and will be delivered to customers in early 2023.  Pricing starts at $225,250.  It's an unprecedented driving opportunity to take a race car on the road as your new means of travel.  For more news stories like this, Latest Innovations For Tomorrow
