5 Seat Electric Air Taxi for Short Distances
German air taxi startup Lilium hopes to put its 5 seat prototype into service by 2025.  It will fly passengers between cities without any airport check-ins.  The aircraft has strong financial backing and its maiden flight at a Munich airfield went well.  It took off vertically and then hovered over the field.

All-Electric, Remote Controlled
Lilium is the company's template for mass production.  The jet is for short distance travel.  Its batteries power 36 all-electric jet engines that point downward when the jet takeoffs and then swing upward to power the flight.  It can fly up to 186 mph.  And it is remotely controlled right now.

Next Steps

Netting a Drone - US Army Countermeasure

US Army Invention - Drone Defense Source:  US Army Drone Netting Device Drone Netting Grenade U.S Army researchers have created a 40 mm grenade to protect the armed forces from menacing, enemy or rogue drones.  The defensive drone grenade takes out the drone with a weighted net. Countermeasure - Net Bagging a Drone The net is spring loaded and ejects from the front of the grenade when it nears the drone target.  The net can be triggered remotely by a person on the ground or automatically by an onboard proximity sensor.
