Sharing the Load with a Robot
MIT's latest robot helps you lift heavy objects by taking signals from your biceps and triceps.  It's a case of a human and a robot getting a heavy lifting job done together.  MIT roboticists think this approach is a key part of the workplace of the future.....truly teaming humans with robots for certain tasks.

AI Analyzing 80 Times Per Second
The robot works by directly reading the electrical signals produced by a person's biceps.  Here's how the technology works.  Electrodes are placed on the person's upper arm and connected with wires to the robot.  The robot reads how the person is moving and then gives them the help they need to lift the object.  To do so, the robot's Artificial Intelligence is analyzing what it sees 80 times per second.  It's a cutting edge example of humans and machines working together to get a job done more quickly and easily.
