LEXUS GX OFF-ROADER - A MAJOR COMPETITOR
- Lexus is unveiling an all-new GX for 2024. Said to display impressive off-road capabilities, the 2024 GX is reported to be glamorous, civilized and capable. Here's what we know:
- It's boxy and will compete with among others Land Rover Defender
- Has electronic KDSS (Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System) which automatically controls front & rear wheel stabilizers independently
- Here are some specs:
- Ground Clearance of 10.9 inches
- Horsepower - 349 hp
- Four-wheel drive, 10 speed automatic
- 3.5-liter twin turbo V6
- 5-seater
- Wheelbase of 112.2 inches
- Tows 8,000 pounds
- Unknown base price
- The Lexus GX looks to be a major competitor.
AI CREATING PICTURE PERFECT IMAGES
- Open AI's DALL-E 3 image generator is pushing the limits of image creation and is being called by experts cutting edge with incredible precision, detailing and artistry. Here's what we know:
- It's a Generative AI enabled text-to-image generator based on a new AI image synthesis model
- Can be controlled & operated by the person using text prompts or by asking ChatGPT to do the prompts for them
- New system is more conversational than previous models
- It can generate an image and then create a story around the generated image
- Will be available in early October to ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise customers
- No date on full public release
- It's currently in research preview
- Will be a fully integrated ChatGPT feature
- Trained on millions of images created by human artists and photographers
- Creates novel, stunning images based on written text
- Art created by this new system can't be copyrighted according to current US Copyright laws and falls into the public domain
- Text-based AI image generation is about a year old with Open AI, Midjourney and Stable Diffusion dominating
- Open AI's DALL-E 3 is being called by experts as at the lead of AI image creation.
HYUNDAI SURPRISE - POSSIBLE E-SPORTS CAR
- Hyundai has filed for a trademark for its concept N Vision 74, its long-awaited electric sports car. Here's what we know:
- Hyundai appears to be readying to put its much-acclaimed N Vision 74 concept into production
- It just filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office for a trademark on N74 to protect a sports car and other versions of the vehicle
- Experts believe an electric sports car N74 with futuristic styling and high performance is the big surprise coming from Hyundai
- It's a 670 hp rear-drive car powered by hydrogen fuel cells and batteries
- The EV concept is considered a rolling lab of automotive innovation and new powertrain development
- N Vision 74 debuted in 2022, made a big splash and left many asking Hyundai to put it into production
- Looks like their dreams are coming true.
