  • Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg just unveiled next-generation smart glasses loaded with AI.  These glasses give you AI on the go, wherever you are.  Here's what we know:
  1. Experts are calling the RayBan Meta Smart Glasses the most advanced smart glasses on the market to date
  2. Technological wonder with 2 new cameras: 12 MP ultra-wide camera for still photos and a 1080p camera for video clips up to 60 seconds
  3. Can live stream to FaceBook and Instagram in real-time
  4. New Meta AI system is built in and enables you to ask questions on the go
  5. Contains 5 microphones with volume increased 50%, more base and reduced audio leakage
  6. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon ARI Gen 1 processor
  7. Smart Glasses have 4 to 6 hours of active use
  8. Storage capacity for 500 photos and 100 :30 second videos
  9. Meta AI will be upgraded in 2024 with a camera to enable it to answer questions about what you're seeing
  10. Plays music, takes phone calls and more
  11. Particularly because of the hidden cameras, it is raising privacy issues
  12. Priced to start at $299.00 and will be offered in 150 combinations of glass frames, color, lenses
  13. The potential uses of these smart glasses appear to be endless.

GLOWING, RED-EYED, MONSTER WOLF ROBOT REPELLING BEARS IN JAPAN

  • A company in Japan has developed a wolf-like robot that is effectively scaring off bears from attacking humans and livestock.  Here's what we know:
  1. Bear attacks in Japan are at their highest level since records started in 2007
  2. Monster Wolf Robot is effectively protecting Japanese towns from bears and other intrusive animals
  3. Has glaring red eyes and protruding fangs
  4. Made by the Ohta Seiki company
  5. Monster Wolf robot emits a menacing roar if it detects a bear or intruding animal
  6. It's solar-powered
  7. Being used to also protect farm animals and golfers
  8. It's not mobile- needs to be mounted on a pole
  9. Gets results:  since deployed in Takikawa, Japan bear interactions with humans have been significantly lessened.

NEW ELECTRIC PLANE GOES THE DISTANCE

  • Burlington, Vermont-based Beta Technologies has successfully completed the first flight of its fully electric plane in a cross-border jaunt to Montreal.  Here are the facts:
  1. Alia is a battery-powered eCTOL or electric conventional takeoff and landing aircraft
  2. Beta says this is the first time an electric plane has taken off and landed after crossing an international border
  3. Also, the 1st time an electric plane has landed at Montreal's Trudeau Airport
  4. Alia travelled the distance of 55 miles from Plattsburgh, NY to Montreal in 30 minutes
  5. Range of the e-plane is 215 miles
  6. It's 10-times quieter than a conventional plane
  7. Cruises at 120 km/hr
  8. On track for FAA certification in 2025
  9. Beta Tech also has an e-VTOL on target for FAA certification in 2026
  10. Beta Tech is a hot electric plane/eVTOL company to watch.
