  • Sirius is developing the 2 planes with BMW DesignWorks and the Sauber Group
  • The planes are powered by a groundbreaking hydrogen-electric propulsion system that delivers quiet, carbon free travel
  • They will hit the skies in 2025
  • Uses deflected vectored thrust system with 28 electric ducted fans for vertical takeoff
  • The 2 aircraft under development are:
  1. Sirius Business Jet with speeds up to 323 mph, range of 1,150 miles, maximum altitude of 30,000 feet and capable of carrying up to 3 passengers
  2. Sirius Millennium is a commercial jet for up to 5 passengers, with a range of 650 miles, flies up to 323 mph with a maximum altitude of 30,000 feet

Netting a Drone - US Army Countermeasure

US Army Invention - Drone Defense Source:  US Army Drone Netting Device Drone Netting Grenade U.S Army researchers have created a 40 mm grenade to protect the armed forces from menacing, enemy or rogue drones.  The defensive drone grenade takes out the drone with a weighted net. Countermeasure - Net Bagging a Drone The net is spring loaded and ejects from the front of the grenade when it nears the drone target.  The net can be triggered remotely by a person on the ground or automatically by an onboard proximity sensor.
