  • Called ExPlas, it involves the blood plasma of young adults who exercise regularly.  Here's what we know:
  • A Norwegian scientific team is injecting blood plasma from healthy, young, exercising adults into people aged 50 to 75 years old with early-stage Alzheimer's Disease
  • Their hope is not to just help non-exercising young people but also the elderly and those with disabilities
  • A survey of 100 countries found that 33% of people don't exercise
  • An exercise pill or injection could replicate the beneficial results of exercise
  • Exercise is known to release beneficial hormones
  • The key to the pill or injection is what hormones should comprise it
  • By injecting the blood plasma of healthy, young exercisers, the Norwegian team is transferring all of the beneficial hormones
  • Many experts believe that this group of Norwegian scientists are bringing us close to an effective exercise pill.

JEFF BEZOS' ALL-FEMALE SPACE MISSION

  • In a world first, Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos is fielding an all-female space flight crew in early 2024 with his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez leading the space mission.  Here's what we know:
  • This is the first space mission comprised entirely of women
  • Bezos fiancée Laurn Sanchez is a journalist, former LA news anchor and a licensed helicopter pilot 
  • Sanchez will lead the space flight set for early 2024
  • 5 other women will join her
  • The Blue Origin space capsule they will travel in to the edges of space is autonomous and reusable
  • Blue Origin was founded by Bezos to pioneer an era of commercialized space travel, including by space "tourists"
  • Bezos was aboard the first crewed Blue Origin mission to the edges of space on July 20, 2021
  • Sanchez has no experience as an astronaut but will be fully trained for the upcoming mission
  • She is the founder of Black Ops Aviation, a female-owned aerial film and production company
  • NASA, as part of its Artemis mission to the Moon in 2025, will also have female astronauts on board.
