NEXT-GEN NISSAN GT-R: ELECTRIC SUPERCAR THAT LOOKS LIKE A UFO

- Nissan's Hyperforce EV, unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show, provides a glimpse at the next-gen GT-R. Here's what we know:
- The Next-Gen GT-R will arrive by the end of the decade
- It will be all-electric
- Will have a light-weight exterior, carbon fiber construction and have UFO styling
- Butterfly doors and cameras instead of side mirrors
- Will provide driver with two driving modes: racing or grand touring
- Solid state battery feeds electric motors
- No one knows for sure how much of the concept will become a reality, but Nissan's design director says the UFO design will be available by the end of the decade.
EMERGING MEGATREND: REMOTELY CONTROLLED PLANES
- Remotely controlled aircraft appear to be a big emerging trend in this age of pilot shortages. Natilus is developing a series of remotely controlled aircraft and remote controllers called the Natilus Pilot Operations Desk or Natilus Pod. Here are some facts:
- Nautilus planes under development are remotely controlled cargo aircraft built to integrate into the operator's existing business
- Company is developing 3 types of cargo aircraft including one with a blended wing body
- Natilus Pod is a ground control station that enables ground-based pilots to manage and monitor the aircraft
- Pod is being developed with Ameriflight
- The company is approaching early testing of the innovative system
- Natilus is a US based UAV (unmanned aviation vehicle) developer.
