  • EHang's EH216-S air taxi just made history by performing the first-ever passenger flight of a flying taxi with no pilot.  Here's what we know:
  • The flying taxi is essentially a pilotless and autonomous drone
  • Powered by 16 rotors and an electric battery
  • eVTOL that takes-off and lands vertically
  • Top speed 81 mph
  • Range - 22 miles
  • Seats 2 people
  • Quieter and greener than a helicopter
  • Doesn't need a runway
  • Does not drive 
  • User interface is so simple, the company says the general public can operate it
  • Potential uses:  personal travel, emergency medical services, sightseeing, cargo transport, firefighting
  • This vehicle has been certified by Chinese aviation authorities to fly commercial passengers in China.

  • Range - 253 miles

  • Accelerates 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds

The board is ten feet long and takes less than 60 seconds to snap together. Netting a Drone - US Army Countermeasure

US Army Invention - Drone Defense Source:  US Army Drone Netting Device Drone Netting Grenade U.S Army researchers have created a 40 mm grenade to protect the armed forces from menacing, enemy or rogue drones.  The defensive drone grenade takes out the drone with a weighted net. Countermeasure - Net Bagging a Drone The net is spring loaded and ejects from the front of the grenade when it nears the drone target.  The net can be triggered remotely by a person on the ground or automatically by an onboard proximity sensor.
