Mosh/Tribute Serial 1 E-Bike

In a surprise move, Harley Davidson is selling a limited edition version of its first electric bike.  The bike was originally categorized as an aesthetic "styling exercise".  Now Harley's e-bike subsidiary Serial 1 has made the e-bike, called the Mosh/Tribute, available for sale.  The e-bike is a tribute to Harley's first motorcycle, the Serial Number One, built in 1903.  The e-bike is a one of a kind.

Zero Emissions and Performance

The bike runs on a Brose S MAG motor that produces 66 ft-lbs of torque and a top speed of 20 mph.  It comes in three sizes to accommodate drivers of different heights.  It's a very nostalgic, traditional looking bike modeled with a leather seat, glossy black paint and white Schwalbe Super Moto-X tires.  The tires, which give extra traction on the road, are designed exclusively for Serial 1.  650 bikes are initially being built.  Half will go to Europe and half to the US for sale.

Tech Specs Along With 4 Travel Modes

There's a 529 lithium-ion battery that provides 35 to 105 miles of range before a recharge is needed.  The range is calibrated on how much pedaling the rider is doing.  The battery can be recharged by using a charging port on the frame downtube.  The charge goes from 0 to 75% in about 2&1/2 hours.  The front and rear hydraulic disc brakes work under all weather conditions.  The bike has four travel assist modes.  The eco-mode provides a soft bit of assistance for flat and favorable driving conditions.  The tour mode, for mixed riding conditions, optimizes the electric assistance and battery use.  The sports mode helps the rider get up hills.  And the boost mode assists the rider to climb very steep hills and do long periods of pedaling.  For extra visibility, there are very bright LED lights at the front and back of the bike.

Zero Emissions, Electric Biking

Harley Davidson is on an accelerating drive for zero emissions, green, electric biking.  Its Mosh/Tribute Serial 1 e-bike is a great, new example of the company's growing portfolio of electric bikes.  The price for this classic is $5,999 and it can be ordered on the Serial 1 website.  To take a look at many more new electric vehicles, go to https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asin=B098PH12XB&preview=newtab&linkCode=kpe&ref_=cm_sw_r_kb_dp_459GM6MX8X7S9BEMZ1N4
