CLIMATE CHANGE POSES BIG ANIMAL EXTINCTION RISKS
- A new study by Oxford University scientists shows that Climate Change could drive mass species extinctions; it's a significant threat to biodiversity and certain species are at the highest risk. Here are some key facts:
- Massive amounts of data, including hundreds of thousands of animal fossil records, were analyzed by the scientists to identify traits linked to extinction
- Based on the data, they've identified current, at-risk species, being pushed to the brink by Climate Change, to prioritize conservation efforts for them
- The at-risk species include monkeys, polar bears, elephants, penguins, butterflies and many more
- Most at-risk animals live in polar and equatorial areas, subject to climate extremes
- Species living in areas of 7-degree +C temperature changes are most vulnerable to extinction
- Smaller animals are the most vulnerable but at-risk animals include large creatures like polar bears and elephants
- Bottom line: Climate Change is putting some species at risk of mass extinction and conservation efforts are needed to start now.

- In general, people gravitate to musicians and music that are similar to themselves
- Examples: David Bowie fans tend to be slightly eccentric and Ozzy Osbourne fans tend to be slightly obnoxious
- To be safe: tell people you like mellow music which is seen as empathetic as opposed to heavily bassed music, which can be seen as troublesome and even psychotic.
