  • The US National Weather Service is forecasting above average heat in many parts of the US for the next 3 months - likely hotter temperatures than Americans have experienced during summers over the past 30 years
  • The heat warnings are forecast for Boston, NYC, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, LA, Seattle and more, where many will seek refreshment from a breeze and dip in the beach
  • Factors that underpin the forecast include higher ocean temps, soil moisture levels, forecast modeling and long term temperature trends, which are rising
  • In the US, the overall trend is hotter summers, with the hardest hit area being the Southwest -- all because of Climate Change
  • In the UK, the forecast is very similar with meteorologists saying the chance of Britain experiencing a hot summer is 2.3-times the normal figure or 45%
  • In 2022, Britain experienced record-breaking temperatures, triggering heat deaths. wildfires, school closings and disrupted rail service
  • UK is about to issue a new plan on how better to deal with Climate Change, including a national heat risk strategy to prevent the overheating of buildings and homes.

  • In the US there's a big gap between workers needed & those available for the farm and robots are increasingly coming to the rescue
  • The farm robots are highly advanced and sophisticated with AI, lasers, cameras, sensors, computer vision and autonomous technology
  • Some of the robots, such as those made by Carbon
  • Robotics LaserWeed, use an array of 150W CO2 lasers to kill 100,000 weeds per hour
  • Others, that hook on to the back of a tractor, use AI & computer vision to precisely turn over the soil and weed
  • With more than 150 types of farm robots now available in the US, there are some multitaskers that can hoe, dig, weed, seed and transport
  • 21st century farming is being reinvigorated and transformed from its very distant past by the most advanced new technologies, including powerful AI to make today's farms more resilient, productive and profitable.
