ADVANCED ELECTRIC CAMPER WITH TESLA ROOTS
- A group of former Tesla employees have developed an advanced electric camper that's 27 feet long and has a pre-sale price tag of $125,000
- Ironically, it could compete directly with the Tesla Cybertruck trailer add-on for the ultimate in glamorous camping/glamping & is also competitive with the Airstream-Porsche camper concept
- Called Lightship L1, it sleeps 6 and has a full kitchen, bath & sitting area that converts into beds
- Lightship claims their camper is 3xs more aerodynamic than traditional campers
- Lightship is San Francisco based & claims to be the US' 1st all-electric recreational vehicle company
- L1's entire roof is covered in solar panels providing an additional 3 kW hours of solar power
- The powertrain is all-electric & it has 80kWh onboard battery capacity
- In camper mode it's 10-feet tall
- Well-outfitted electric campers are an emerging new vehicle line of interest to several top global automakers and are providing a whole new look at camping.
NEW AI APP & GREATER SAFETY FOR WOMEN RUNNING ALONE
- A new AI app called Epowar that sends out an alert when the user is attacked just launched in the UK today
- It's specifically designed for females running or walking alone and just went live in UK App Stores
- The app monitors smart watch devices to determine if the wearer's heartbeat rate or body motion indicates distress
- If the wearer is being attacked, it sends an alert to their emergency contacts
- It also automatically starts recording data like GPS locations & sounds
- Wearer doesn't need to activate anything; it's automatic & prevents the assailant from stopping or interrupting it
- Basic version of the app in the UK is free
- Purpose: to prevent more deaths & injuries to women walking or running alone
- Expected to roll-out on more devices like Android & Fitbit
- No indication when this will be available in US & elsewhere.
