On the runway at Paris Fashion Week, supermodel Naomi Campbell wore a first-of-its-kind "AI Pin" on the lapel of her jacket. It was the first look at software & hardware company Humane's wearable "AI Pin" and a dramatic example of a big AI wearable-device trend. Here's what we know:

AI Pin is an intelligent and connected AI device that is pocket-sized and designed to be worn on clothing so you can have AI capabilities on the move
It uses a wide range of sensors that enable contextual and ambient computer interaction
The company says it's a screenless, standalone device built from the ground-up for AI
Its full capabilities will be detailed during its November debut
Among known capabilities, it can alert you to phone calls, translate sentences into foreign languages and tell you that you're allergic to the chocolate you're eating
AI pin is part of a big AI wearable device trend to supplant the smartphone
Among other new AI wearable devices, Ray-Ban Meta Smart AI glasses, just introduced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, with mikes, cameras, speakers embedded with Meta AI
Also, Rewind Pendants by startup Rewhd - $59.00 necklace embedded with AI, that looks like a piece of jewelry
Rewind Pendants, according to the company, "record what you do and make it searchable" as a database of your activities, including what you see and hear
These wearable AI devices make it incredibly convenient to have AI on the go
Some tech companies hope we prefer the wearables to our smartphones
A caveat: wearables do present some privacy issues because it can be difficult to know that you're being recorded.

WORLD'S 1ST SOLAR-POWERED OFF-ROADER

Stella Terra recently developed by a student team at the Netherlands' Eindhoven University of Technology is being touted as the world's first solar-powered, off-road car. Here's what we know:

It can travel nearly 400 miles on a sunny day without having to stop for a charge
It's a lightweight version of the University's fully solar-powered vehicle
Stella Terra is road legal
Top speed: 90 mph
Range: 390 miles on a sunny day
Weight: 2645 lbs
Powered by roof solar panels
Technologically Stella Terra is thought to be 5 to 10 years ahead of the market
Later this month, it will take a long-distance test drive to the Sahara Desert.
