Warming Up to Siberia

New Science Reveal Climate Change Could Make Siberia Habitable

Global Warming's Impact on Asian Russia
By late in the 21st century Climate Change may make large parts of Asian Russia - Siberia - habitable for humans.  Scientists used current and projected Climate Change models to forecast how comfortable weather conditions would be there and the potential for humans to live there.  Their findings are fascinating and a dramatic illustration of how the earth is warming.

2080
Their findings:  by 2080 the Asian Russia weather will be considerably warmer with the permafrost dropping from 65% to 40%.  They forecast a five-fold increase in the capacity of the territory to be sustainable for human life.  They added it's contingent on how the government of Russia would support the territory with infrastructure.

US-Russian Research Team
The research team scientists are from the National Institute of Aerospace USA and the Krasnoyarsk Federal Research Center in Russia.  They just published their findings in the Environmental Research Letter.  For a free Kindle borrow of my book "List of Top New Environmental Innovations" go to
