Mercedes 6 Wheel Prototype
Mercedes has an interesting truck prototype on its drawing board and in development. It's named the Pickup Design, has six wheels and is a version of the MB X-Class. Sometimes a picture tells more than a thousand words. What do you think? The name of the concept vehicle is the Exy Monster X concept.
Monster Truck
The truck hasn't been produced yet but it's creating a lot of buzz for racing and travel. MB plans that all of the truck's body panels will be carbon fiber. There will be a lightbar on the roof, huge fenders to mount bigger wheels, an extra axle and a big bulge on the hood to accommodate what's needed underneath the hood for this "Monster" truck to deliver.
Turbodiesel
There are not a lot of details on the "Monster" yet. But it is going to be initially equipped with a turbodiesel 3.0 liter V6 engine with 258 horsepower and 40+ pound feet of torque. It's a 3 axle setup. No information on controls for 6x6 mode. But, it's exciting new travel innovation and looks like the start of brawny pickup truck travel.
