Green, Electric, Quiet Buses
The Chinese megacity of Shenzhen just introduced a world first.  The city's 16,000 buses have been converted from diesel to all electric - a global energy and transportation first.

Dramatic Decrease in Carbon Emissions
The carbon dioxide emissions in the industrial city and innovation hub of 12 million people is projected to drop 48%.  That converts into 440,000 tons of carbon dioxide from bus exhaust not being spewed onto the air.  Also the buses are very quiet, dramatically cutting noise pollution from the old diesel powered fleet.  This is an outstanding global example of innovation in green travel and green transportation.  For more news stories on innovation, go to amazon.com/author/ekane

Netting a Drone - US Army Countermeasure

US Army Invention - Drone Defense Source:  US Army Drone Netting Device Drone Netting Grenade U.S Army researchers have created a 40 mm grenade to protect the armed forces from menacing, enemy or rogue drones.  The defensive drone grenade takes out the drone with a weighted net. Countermeasure - Net Bagging a Drone The net is spring loaded and ejects from the front of the grenade when it nears the drone target.  The net can be triggered remotely by a person on the ground or automatically by an onboard proximity sensor.
