Green, Electric, Quiet Buses
The Chinese megacity of Shenzhen just introduced a world first. The city's 16,000 buses have been converted from diesel to all electric - a global energy and transportation first.
Dramatic Decrease in Carbon Emissions
The carbon dioxide emissions in the industrial city and innovation hub of 12 million people is projected to drop 48%. That converts into 440,000 tons of carbon dioxide from bus exhaust not being spewed onto the air. Also the buses are very quiet, dramatically cutting noise pollution from the old diesel powered fleet. This is an outstanding global example of innovation in green travel and green transportation.
