Loomo
From San Francisco to Beijing, armies of service bots for package deliveries are being developed. Beijing based Segway-Ninebot is developing delivery robots. Its new one is Loomo and is expected to hit the market this year. It will be making deliveries to shopping malls and office buildings. It looks like an office file cabinet on wheels and has been developed from a hoverboard to a robot.
German-Swiss ANYmal
ANYmal is a 4 legged robot dog that can walk packages right up to your door. It was created by German automotive company Continental and Swiss robotics company ANYbotics. It was well received at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show.
Serve
Another delivery bot being developed is Serve by San Francisco based delivery company Postmates. It starts work in Los Angeles this year with more cities to follow.
Pepsi
Pepsi is deploying its Snackbots at the University of Pacific. It delivers snacks to students who need to meet the bot at a designated destination.
