Being Developed in Israel and California
At the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this 2019, flying cars are taking the center stage.  NFT Inc., founded by a husband and wife team, are creating a lot of buzz.  They're developing a "door-to-door" flying car for ordinary commuters like a Mom travelling with three kids to drive and fly to their commuting destination.  Their innovation project is underway in Israel and California.

Electric VTOL Commuting
NFT is designing the hardware and the software, while hiring original equipment manufacturers to crank out products at scale.  The NFT vehicle promises to drive as a car and blend into a plane that can take off and land vertically flying on auto-pilot. No need for an airport or helicopter pad.   NFT says it has a design that will be the Model T of flying cars - a low cost production model.  Their focus is technology and they are partnering with companies on assembly.

Specifications
The NFT vehicle is electric powered and has targeted ranges of 310 miles flying and 60 miles driving. The company projects FAA approval by 2024 and will show a drive-fly vehicle demonstration in late 2020. For more news stories on innovation, go to amazon.com/author/ekane
