  • A team of spatial computer scientists at Stanford University have created breakthrough AR-VR glasses that look like ordinary eyeglasses but offer extraordinary new perspectives.  Here are some key facts:
  • These AR glasses are considered a major breakthrough - they're not big, cumbersome and annoying but are small. lightweight and not obtrusive
  • Thinner, lighter and of higher quality than existing models
  • They use holographic imaging to overlay vibrant, full color, 3D computed images over the lenses
  • They combine advances in AI, display technologies and holographic images
  • Meant for all-day wear and considered a breakthrough for AR experiences
  • Expected to be of great value to surgeons during surgery
  • Also could transform education, entertainment, gaming and job training through the use of computed imagery
  • It's in prototype form and is being called "one-of-a-kind" that could disrupt the spatial computing market.
