  • New startup Beewise is using AI and connectivity to care for and monitor beehives in this challenging time of Climate Change.  Here are some key facts:
  • Bee populations globally are being decimated by Climate Change and the extreme weather and extreme temperatures that it's causing
  • Bees, as pollinators, are integral to global food supplies
  • Beewise, a new startup, has created a smart house for bees, called Beehome, which is AI smart and connected
  • Some of its capabilities:
  1. Cameras to watch bee productivity and honeycomb growth
  2. Regulates temperatures
  3. Releases additional food to the bees, as needed, via an app
  4. Remotely closes to keep the bees safe from pesticides when farmers are using them
  5. AI analysis of data from the hives to track trends, provide R/T information to help beekeepers help the bee colonies to thrive
  6. Can inform a beekeeper that a hive is threatened and let then correct it before the hive is destroyed
  • Currently seeking money from VC investors
  • Company is headquartered in Israel with a US headquarters in San Francisco area
  • Hopes to grow from monitoring 3,000 smart hives to 10,000.
