FUTURE OF ELECTRIC SPORTS CARS:  MORGAN'S XP-1

  • British sports car company Morgan has just revealed a 3-wheel, electric, experimental prototype car that foreshadows the future of electric sports cars.  Here's what we know:
  • It is based on the Morgan Super 3 three wheeler
  • It's a remarkably lightweight, battery powered test model that Morgan will use to develop powertrains and driving characteristics for electric Morgans
  • Designed for aerodynamic efficiencies
  • Lightweight roadster true to its British Morgan roots
  • Has a small 33 kWh electric battery and weighs about 1400 pounds
  • Can travel about 150 miles on a charge
  • Powertrain produces 134 hp delivered to the rear wheel
  • Currently in extensive testing
  • When the XP-1 is considered ready for production, its likely starting price will be above the Super 3's $54,000
  • Looks like a sporty green way to travel into the future of lightweight EVs offering greater efficiency and longer range.

  • WhatsApp has a new feature that deletes a voice/message once it's heard.  Here are some key facts:
  • Called View Once, it's a new feature on WhatsApp that enables messages to disappear
  • Essentially enables you to send a self-destructing message, v/m, picture and video once it's read by the intended recipient
  • The message can only be read once and then will disappear immediately
  • The feature is easily accessed on the WhatsApp tool and is rolling out globally in the next couple of days
  • Designed to allow users to send sensitive data and then have it destroyed - to provide added security and peace of mind
  • Bottomline line: your message will be immediately deleted after the recipient receives it.
