MIT USES AI TO DEVELOP NEW LEVEL OF ANTIBIOTICS
Source: MIT & Stock
- It appears that MIT and Harvard researchers at MIT's Broad Institute have achieved a big breakthrough in using AI to discover new, more advanced, life-saving antibiotics. Here are the key facts:
- Broad Institute scientists used a deep-learning algorithm to identify new compounds that are effective against antibiotic resistant infections
- These compounds are being used to develop a new class of antibiotics discovered with the assistance of AI to combat bacterial infections that have become resistant to antibiotics
- These new antibiotics could save millions of lives yearly
- Just in 2019, antibiotic resistant bacteria killed 1.27 million people and contributed to 5 million more deaths globally
- Those numbers have continued to rise because of COVID 19
- The use of AI and deep learning algorithms by these scientists could have a profound effect with the life-saving drugs they produce for millions around the world.
BIDEN ADMINISTRATION PRIORITIZES HYDROGEN
- President Joe Biden wants to provide the most generous tax credit in the world for the innovative development of hydrogen as a fuel source. Here are the facts:
- President Biden wants to jumpstart hydrogen to replace fossil fuels by providing the world's most generous tax credit to produce it
- Cleanest, new innovation systems to produce hydrogen will get the most money
- Meaningful money credits will also be given to systems using fossil fuels to produce hydrogen
- Biden's proposals need to be funded by Congress
- If they are, his concepts could deliver $140 billion in revenue and 700,000 new jobs to the US economy by 2030
- US wants to produce 50 million metric tons of hydrogen by 2050
- US Energy Department says that equals in clean green energy, all that's being consumed by every polluting bus, plane, train and ship in the US right now combined.
Fantasy EV: GTX Electric Muscle Sleigh for Santa's Christmas Ride
SANTA GOING WITH HIGH TECH ELECTRIC SLEIGH
- The recent International Sleigh Show at the North Pole debuted the first electric muscle sleigh for Santa's legendary Christmas Eve ride. The chairman of Reindeer Motors Rudolph Reindeer said: "Santa will be able to deliver gifts and complete his ride in record time with this high-performance EV muscle sleigh. The cockpit for Santa will be loaded with connectivity at the 7G level. We'll make the muscle sleigh autonomous, so Santa and his reindeers can take a mid-air break between his global gift deliveries."
- Santa Is Loving It
- Santa commented: "Most impressive is the advanced autonomous system Reindeer Motors has put in this sleigh. With the burgeoning world population, I have more stops to make every year. This gives me a chance to nap between stops."
- Rudolph Is All For It
- "This is clearly a GTX electric muscle sleigh perfect for Santa", Rudolph said. "He'll be able to go from 0 to Mach 25 in .1225 seconds." And, then, Santa assembled his majestic team of Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and, of course, Rudolph. As they took off for a test ride, they were heard to say "Merry Christmas! Ho-Ho-Ho! Innovations for all!! See you Christmas Eve!"
